Hello and Happy New Year!
Due to an expired data file for magnetic declination, TTQV4 quits when
clicking into a map starting with date 01.01.2010.
Please apply udate TTQV4.0.127 to correct this problem:

In case you are unable to download the above mentioned update by
whatever reasons, as a workaround, you may set your PCs date to any
date in 2009, (31.12.2009 will do) to keep TTQV4 working.

Now it is officially confirmed:
With the latest Garmin firmware for the Oregon, Dakota and Colorado devices, it is possible to display raster maps on these Garmins. You can use singel map tiles which must not exceed the limit of 1048567 pixels, i. e. 1024 x 1024 pixels, or 512 x 2048 pixels..... The map tiles need to be assembled in a *.kmz file. Ther must not be more then 100 tiles in a single *.kmz file. At their homepage, Garmin has a an instruction about how to create such map tiles.
But using TTQV for this is much easier!
