Even the best Navigation Software is just as good as the available maps!
Therefore we have collected a wide range of digital maps, satellite images and elevation data of all continents. Many of these maps are available in our unique map format with optimal performance!
Not all maps are the same! There are various map types available with their specific pros and cons:
|
|
Vector Maps Vector maps can be zoomed to almost any level. They vary their level of detail according to the zoom factor. Therefore they are always clearly readable even if the details goe down to address levels. Our NAVTEQ maps offer sophisticated routing functions including cross-border navigation, multiple stop-overs and individual preferences. Optionally, we offer a dynamic and voice-guided navigation for these maps! Another advantage is their Overlay function! You can enable or disable certain map layers like different roads, rivers or settlements. |

Raster Maps
Raster Maps are very common: Road-atlas maps, recreactional and topographic maps, IGN maps of Africa, and the russion military maps are all raster maps. They cover allmost any continent! Raster maps have a fixed scale! This means that zoomimg in or out is not very helpful, as the details stay the same! Some raster maps are devided in separate sheets. This will help saving system ressources but it makes scrolling rather uncomfortable. QV-raster maps in our QBR-Format combine seemless representation with maximum performance while zooming or scrolling!

Elevation Data:
Elevation data are used for generating digital terrain models. They will give you the suface altitude of any cursor point and you can create true 3D terrain models with or without map overlay! Elevation data are also required for generating altitude profile diagrams.
You find available elevation data in our webshop. |
